As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for building partnerships with Rheumatologists and Gastroenterologists to create in-office biologic treatment (infusion) and ancillary patient services. You will be expected to challenge customers’ thinking and build consensus for solutions to secure growth in the independent practice segment, large group practice and IDN health system.
Duties and Responsibilities- Design and implement sales strategies to ensure the company meets its revenue objectives by growing new accounts
- Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about our service model and our solutions for their business
- Research prospective clients to identify the right stakeholders to sell to
- Independently and collaboratively strategize for solving deal-level challenges
- Increase sales volume and deal size
- Regularly update the sales technology with the latest client information and intelligence for account planning purposes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging to clients and help them gather voice of the customer information where needed
- Must have relationships with Rheumatologists and Gastroenterologists
. - Must be open to traveling 2-3 days per week & spending 8-12 weekends out of the year at National Conferences.
- Demonstrated experience in closing large strategic accounts within the infusion space
. - 5+ years of proven track record in sales/business development within biotech/pharma with demonstrated experience in closing large strategic accounts within the infusion space.
- Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
