About the Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets while acting as Halter’s on‑the‑ground representative. This role requires a proactive and hands‑on approach, with a focus on both expansion and long‑term customer satisfaction.

This role covers the South West region of Missouri. Frequent travel within the territory is required.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting New Business
:
Driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, and building a pipeline through outbound lead generation. - In‑Field Sales
:
Engaging customers in the field, demonstrating Halter’s value, and building relationships. - Expanding Existing Opportunities
:
Identifying and pursuing upsell opportunities with current clients. - Hitting Sales Targets
:
Managing pipelines and closing deals while maintaining future growth focus. - Customer Account Management
:
Providing ongoing support, addressing challenges, and ensuring customer satisfaction. - Territory Ownership
:
Acting as the face of the territory, building relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. - Customer Onboarding
:
Managing the end‑to‑end onboarding experience and coordinating with implementation teams. - Field Learnings & Feedback
:
Gathering customer insights and advocating for customer needs. - Collaboration with Support Teams
:
Working with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues quickly. - Attending Industry Events
:
Participating in events such as Cattle Con to generate leads and deepen relationships. - Strategic Contribution
:
Providing input to improve the U.S. sales process and strategy.
- Driven attitude and strong communication skills.
- Experience in ranching or cattle operations.
- Sales and customer‑success expertise with a history of creating new business and negotiating value‑based conversations.
- Experience managing a large territory with balanced focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
- Problem‑solving and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in customer‑facing roles within ag‑tech.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.

Compensation Range: $140K – $190K
