Materials Rep Food Services-Morristown Medical Center

Job Summary

The successful candidate must possess a professional customer‑centered approach, demonstrating the appropriate level of knowledge and skillset to support the patient, customer, and team member experience. Responsibilities include receiving and unloading all food‑related deliveries per local and state food safety requirements, retrieving supplies from storage, maintaining kitchen supply levels, rotating inventory, and processing outpatient department floor stock orders.

• Follow assigned work to promote operational efficiency.
• Understand, follow, and maintain all food safety standards in compliance with local and state requirements.
• Accurately follow written and verbal directions, meeting patient, retail, and catering needs.
• Operate equipment effectively and safely.
• Adhere to all established department policies, procedures, and objectives for quality assurance, safety, fire safety, and infection control.
• Alert leadership of all potential operational needs or concerns related to equipment, food supply, sanitation, and safety.
• Attend all required training and in‑service sessions.
• Encourage team building and a collaborative workplace environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat, frequent lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying objects in excess of 50 lbs., frequent bending and stooping, and long periods of standing.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Serv Safe Food Handler Certification.
