Position SummaryBranco Enterprises is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support construction, maintenance, and repair activities across a variety of projects. This role performs a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, installation, formwork, and finish work. The Carpenter works under the direction of the Site Superintendent and collaborates closely with other trades to deliver quality work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and material requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and other fixtures ensuring proper alignment and finish quality
- Build and set concrete formwork with accurate dimensions and stability
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing structures and fixtures
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, and masons to complete projects efficiently
- Load, unload, transport, and properly store construction materials
- Maintain tools and equipment; report damaged or malfunctioning tools to supervision
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with plans and specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
- Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience, preferably in commercial or residential construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with common carpentry hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- 5 or more years of carpentry experience
- Technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification in carpentry
- Experience with concrete formwork
- Experience on commercial construction projects
Physical Requirements
This position is primarily field-based and performed in outdoor and indoor construction environments. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and heavy equipment. The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform manual tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance.
