BICSI Telecommunications Cabling Technician

Hands-on problem solver needed at CKC Data Solutions! Our Springfield, MO team is hiring an experienced BICSI Telecommunications Cabling Technician to install and maintain commercial and industrial structured systems.

• Travel to assigned job sites to service and install commercial and industrial structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic).
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and drawings to properly install, terminate, test, and label copper and fiber optic cable systems.
• Comply with all codes, regulations, and company standards while in the field.
• Troubleshoot existing systems and perform general maintenance as needed.
• Verify that systems work and thoroughly clean the work area upon job completion.
• Discuss cabling needs with clients, project managers, and team members before starting work.

• Current BICSI certification, preferably technician level or higher.
• Proven structured cabling installation experience and proficiency with testing and installation equipment.
• Thorough understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and standards.
• Ability to accurately read and follow construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to complete high-quality work independently, with a team, and with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments/conditions (construction sites, data centers, on ladders, in confined spaces, etc.).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including some overnight travel as needed.
• Must have the ability to pass a background check.
