Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Skills and willingness to perform heavy labor duties on an environmental remediation site – hand‑digging, using small tools, installing erosion control materials & safety fence, lifting and moving materials by hand, spotting for heavy equipment and trucks, sweeping and cleaning, etc.
  • Maintain a safe work area.
  • Communicate and work with the Project Support staff – QCM, SSHO, Superintendent.
  • Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with property owners and the public.
Qualifications – Experience, Education And Certification

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Entry Level (preferred 1+ years of demonstratable experience working on Hazardous Waste Sites).
  • Has completed the OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training.
  • Has a current 8‑hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher training.
  • Has completed a 10‑hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
  • Skills & experience in using hand tools – hammers, sledgehammers, shovels, picks, brooms, wheelbarrows, etc.
  • Skills & experience in using powered small tools – saws, drills, pumps, air compressors, jackhammers, etc.
  • Skills & experience in completing small repair tasks – removing/reinstalling chain link fence, brick pavers, shrubs and flowers, etc.
  • Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.
