Job Summary
As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various commercial equipment and systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our products and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Installation: Commercial Service Technician installs and sets up equipment and systems at customer locations according to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions or defects in equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues by analyzing equipment, interpreting error codes, and using diagnostic tools.
- Customer Support: Provide on-site or remote technical support to customers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service activities, including service reports, work orders, and parts used. Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all service work is performed to high-quality standards and complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Parts Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
- Training: Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends. Provide training and guidance to customers or junior technicians as necessary.
- Customer Relations: Foster positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns and providing recommendations for improving equipment performance.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Licensing/Certification: EPA 608 Certification for handling refrigerants is required, certification in other relevant technical areas (if applicable) is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Knowledge: A good understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety protocols is crucial.
- Tools: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency service requests.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Commercial Service Technicians work in safety-sensitive positions within various settings. Including construction sites, commercial buildings, factories, and industrial facilities. They may be exposed to various weather conditions and sometimes need to work in tight or confined spaces. The job may involve physical labor with the ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
