**** Position Summary
** Perform routine and preventative maintenance at the University campus with a strong focus on HVAC systems. Address service requests from faculty, staff, and students, and complete assigned work orders from facilities supervisors. Responsibilities include inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and minor installations related to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, ensuring reliable and safe operation across multiple campus buildings.

* Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
** Service Calls & Emergency Response
* Provide responsive, customer-focused service. Prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
* Assess issues and determine when escalation or specialized support is needed.
General Maintenance
* Assist with building systems and duties as needed, including basic carpentry, painting, light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting.
* Provide event setup support when requested.
HVAC Systems
* Perform preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC systems including air handlers, roof top units (RTUs), fan coil units, exhaust systems, and variable air volume (VAV) boxes.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to heating and cooling across the campus, ensuring consistent indoor air quality and comfort.
* Inspect, clean, and replace components such as belts, filters, coils, and thermostats.
* -Support the operation and maintenance of commercial boilers and chillers.
* Monitor, operate, and adjust building automation system (BAS) settings and sensors.
* Maintain logs and documentation for equipment condition and services performed.

* Working Conditions:
*** Require standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working on ladders or at heights.
* Work may occur indoors and outdoors, in varying weather and temperature conditions.
* Exposure to pool chemicals, noise, and mechanical equipment is expected.
* May be required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts for emergencies.

* Required Qualifications:

* · High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid Class E driver’s license (or equivalent from another state).
· Must be available 24/7 for emergencies and willing to work overtime.

* Preferred Qualifications:
** Technical training or certification in HVAC systems, commercial boiler/chiller operations, or related fields preferred.
Two years of experience in facilities maintenance, specifically with HVAC systems and building mechanical infrastructure.
Position requires background checks, drug screening, and other applicable pre-employment checks.
** Position Pays: $32.87 per hour
