Purpose:

We value the safety of our associates! The Building Maintenance keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.

Job Description:

The Building Maintenance Worker position will perform the following duties:

* Assists in the proper upkeep and preventative maintenance of all buildings, materials and systems at the distribution plant/designated building.

* Tests emergency generator.

* Records data from main electrical panels.

* Inspects various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems; record data from inspections.

* Tests sprinkler system's water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.

* Tests fire pump and alarm.

* Inspects all equipment and repair or replace as necessary to avoid down time.

* Inspects, lubricates and cleans condensers and evaporators.

* Performs annual inspections on refrigeration compressors, including change oil and filter, disassemble compressor for internal inspection and align mechanical couplings.

* Inspects and lubricates freezer and cooler doors and perform needed repairs; maintain inventory of repair parts.

* Designs and constructs carpentry items requested by other departments.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

* Obtains work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Performs daily safety checks.

* Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.

* Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.

* Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area orderly and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

* Maintenance and repair or related area

* Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate degree in areas Electrical Mechanical Diagnostics, Service and/or Repair.

* 1- 2+years preferred experience of electrical- mechanical- and hydraulic equipment i.e.: control panels- PLC's- conveyor shaft- motor and bearing replacement- etc. in a warehouse environment
