Residential Commercial Painter

We’re looking for a Painter who can run high-­end residential painting projects with skill, ownership, and professionalism.

• Think like a leader, communicate clearly, solve problems calmly, and hold the line on quality.
• Notice when a site is messy, when a detail needs clarification, or when a younger painter needs coaching instead of criticism.
• Take responsibility and do not wait for someone else to own the outcome.
• Work in high-­high-­end residential remodels: kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-­home painting projects throughout Springfield, MO, and surrounding area.
• Deliver detailed painting where homeowners expect professionalism, clean sites, respectful communication, and strong execution.
• Be ready to spray cabinetry, paint walls, coordinate materials, walk a homeowner through a question, solve a field condition, read plans, and make sure the site is ready for the next trade.
• Walk around people who care about craftsmanship, accountability, and getting better.
• Maintain clean job sites, organized communication, and professional conduct in occupied homes.

• Perform skilled painting on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-­home painting projects.
• Climb ladders with ease.
• Cut in around corners and maintain a straight line.
• Work outside on exteriors on boom lifts or ladders.
• Understand paint and stain colors and sheens (eggshell and satin).
• Use Graco and Tri Tech airless sprayers on both millwork and walls.
• Communicate respectfully with homeowners, team members, and project leadership.
• Keep job sites clean, safe, organized, and professional.
• Identify issues early and help solve them without drama.
• Hold yourself and others accountable to quality standards.

• 2+ years of painting experience.
• Strong fine finishing skills on cabinetry (knowing how to spray Renner is a plus).
• Ability to cut through walls while on a ladder.
• Understand temperature and weather to decide when to paint.
• Professional communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Personal hand tools (sprayers and painting equipment will be provided).
• Clean, organized, detail-oriented work habits.
• Ability to work in occupied homes with respect and professionalism.
• A calm, accountable, solution-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a finishing shop, finishing cabinetry in both paint grade and stain grade.
• Ability to work alone and be accountable to yourself.
