We are a full‑service general contractor and construction manager operating from Anchorage, Alaska, and Las Vegas, Nevada, and we provide services throughout the United States.
Our senior management has more than 45 years of experience in government construction and environmental services and Eagle Eye and our sister companies currently hold 235 contracts primarily serving the U.S. Government.
- Equipment Operator of excavators – mini and medium classes, dozers, and skid steers in a residential setting.
- As necessary perform the duties of a Laborer.
- Maintain a safe work area.
- Communicate and work with the Project Support staff – QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, Site Coordinator.
- Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with property owners and the public.
- 2+ years of demonstratable experience on residential lead remediation projects for USEPA or USACE.
- 2+ years of demonstratable experience working on Hazardous Waste Sites USEPA or USACE.
- Has completed the OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training.
- Has a current 8‑hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher training.
- Has completed a 10‑hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
- Experience of operating equipment to excavate/backfill soils in tight areas constrained by structures, underground and over‑head utilities, trees & roots, retaining walls, etc.; ability to accurately excavate shallow depths consistently across excavation cells.
- Ability to plan the excavation/backfill sequence of a property to maintain efficiencies and a safe work area.
- Ability to read and interpret utility locate marks, field sketches and other work documents related to the properties being excavated.
- Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.
Physical Requirements
Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent outdoors with frequent opportunity to move about.
DOT Covered / Safety‑Sensitive Role RequirementsThis position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety‑sensitive” functions.
Work EnvironmentThe job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to all weather conditions – rain, snow, cold and hot temperatures. Requires an extensive amount of driving during each shift. The work schedule will require working more than 8‑hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required. The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, in the field.
The use of personal protective equipment is required – hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vests, respirators, hearing protection, chemical protective equipment, etc.
Equipment Operators are the leads for their individual crew and are responsible for organizing the work at an assigned property. Crews are a mix of other equipment operators, truck drivers, and laborers.
Additional Qualifying Factors- Travel is required.
- Pre‑employment drug screening and background check required.
- Pre‑employment and annual HAZWOPER physical required along with a physician’s determination that the employee can work on a hazardous waste site and wear protective equipment.
