This position delivers and installs vending/fountain equipment as needed. The role uses lifting and equipment to load/unload and move large fountain machines/units at customer accounts, prepares equipment for delivery, and maintains all paperwork associated with equipment installation and removal. The installer assembles fountain beverage systems from start to finish and may also assist with moving, storing, and organizing equipment in inventory at the facility.
The position requires lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving vending/fountain machines that weigh approximately 800–1,200 pounds several times over a 10–12 hour period.
- Unload and load new and used vendors or fountains for daily delivery.
- Install vendors and load/reload with products as necessary.
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending/fountain equipment.
- Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures.
- Collect accurate and complete equipment information.
- Maintain parts, tools, and equipment.
- Follow DOT regulations.
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate customer/work order records for each delivery.
- Transport miscellaneous items such as compressors for repair/scrap and cardboard for recycle.
- Fill install and adjust to proper mix of product.
- Establish positive customer relationships.
- Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- At least 18 years of age (21 or older if CDL required).
- Valid U.S. CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable).
- Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable).
- Follow DOT regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English if CDL required.
Note:
In all California locations except Stockton, both non‑excepted intrastate and non‑excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non‑excepted interstate status is accepted.
- Experience working with mechanical systems (e.g., troubleshooting and repairing appliances, basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools).
- Experience generating and setting work schedules (e.g., determining priority of work projects, building work schedules, scheduling tasks during the day).
- Experience operating trucks requiring a CDL Class B license (e.g., driving forwards, backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces).
- Experience serving customers (e.g., resolving customer issues, communicating with store managers, following up on customer requests).
- Experience completing basic paperwork (e.g., filling out documentation, timecards and mileage).
Because the material job duties of this role involve regular field work away from a physical company location, the Company will conduct a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
