Job Responsibilities & Requirements
A Brief Overview. The Electrician will have experience in various electrical systems and be knowledgeable about safety protocols and regulations. The Electrician will perform electrical assembly and power-up of machines, equipment, and subassemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
What You Will Do:Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical sub-assemblies and panels per drawing and/or work instructions without supervision
- Measures, cuts, bends, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, using such tools as band saw, pipe threader, and conduit bender
- Recognize wire and conduit types and their usage
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Ability to work in various working conditions and meet the physical demands of the job
- High School/GED required
- 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training required
- Understanding of both AC and DC type circuits required
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) required
- Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
- Ability to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
- Journeyman/Master Electrician preferred
- Have PLC Software Knowledge
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Proficient in English, Bi-lingual a plus
This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
