Burglar​/Fire Alarm Service Technician

Federal Protection Inc., a leading security solutions provider for banks and businesses, seeks a Burglar/Fire Alarm Service Technician. In this field-based role, you will install, program, inspect, and service burglar and fire alarm systems, perform troubleshooting and repairs, and ensure compliance with NFPA, life-safety, and local codes. You'll work directly with financial and commercial clients, coordinate with monitoring teams, document all service activity, and help maintain reliable, mission-critical security and life-safety protection across our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and configure burglar and fire alarm systems for commercial and financial clients
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system faults, wiring issues, and panel problems
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance in line with NFPA and local codes
• Document all service activities, test results, and system configurations accurately
• Coordinate with central monitoring and internal teams to ensure reliable system performance
• Educate clients on system operation, basic troubleshooting, and safety procedures
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe, service-ready condition
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements on customer job sites
