Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician assembles and fabricates a wide variety of integrated electrical equipment. This position is responsible to ensure that operational objectives are achieved while minimizing cost and ensuring the highest level of quality is a result.

• Install and wire motors, controllers and VFD’s up to 480volts.
• Install flexible metal conduit, rigid metal and plastic‑coated conduit.
• Trouble shoot electric control circuits and devices, record and document actions preformed.
• Read and work from P&’s.
• Read and work from blue prints.
• Read and work from sketches.
• Read and work from general construction drawings or other specifications.
• Read and work from Electrical Schematics.
• Promotes safe and clean working conditions.
• Ensures processes and procedures are documented and repeatable.
• Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this Position.
• Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Familiarity with electrical measuring devices and digital volt/ohm meters, amp meters and digital loop testers.
• Knowledgeable in electrical installation and practices in accordance with NFPA 70 and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Able to pass an electrical technician proficiency test.
• Basic math skills & mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of industry safe practices.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Past experience and exposure to control panel assembly.

Base Compensation Range: $29.90 - $33.80 per hour

Shift Differential: 10%

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another operator, or utilize provided lifting equipment.
