Overview
Kforce has a client in Springfield, MO that is seeking a Senior Engineer.
Summary:
We're seeking experienced Go Developers for a one-year contract to help build innovative banking applications and shared platform services. This role is part of a collaborative development team focused on creating scalable solutions within a microservices architecture. Projects include core financial services like ACH processing, wire transfers, and fraud prevention tools such as Positive Pay.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Go, with a focus on scalability and performance in a cloud-native environment
- Work closely with teammates to plan and prioritize development efforts that align with evolving product needs
- Dive deep into banking-specific domains, gaining expertise in the systems your team owns and understanding how changes impact the broader platform
- Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth experience for end users
- 6+ years of experience, including:
- 2+ years focused on backend development
- 1+ years of experience working with Go (Golang)
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives—planning, breaking down work, and coordinating across teams
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and observability in backend systems
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting production issues, resolving customer-impacting bugs, and managing deployment pipelines
- A degree in Computer Science (helpful, but not a deal-breaker)
- Familiarity with Fin Tech concepts—especially ACH, wire transfers, and Positive Pay
- Experience building within a microservices architecture
- Exposure to tools and technologies like CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability stacks, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
- A strong sense of ownership—from shaping requirements with product managers to supporting your code in production
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
