Peer Mentor

Peer Mentor

Peer mentors will be assigned to students and provide academic support strategies and informal mentoring. Peer mentors will plan and organize activities promoting academic support and campus involvement for students. Peer mentors will coordinate their activities with an assigned Success Coach and/or CAST staff. Peer mentors will table to promote coaching and CAST resources. Peer mentors will write weekly blog posts and create Peer Mentor support materials.

Peer mentors will assist with coordinating panel discussions as needed. Peer mentors will help with other duties as assigned, including general office tasks.

Required Qualifications:

15 credit hours completed, Minimum MSU GPA of 3.0, Good academic and conduct standing, Strong interpersonal and communication skills, Genuine desire to help peers succeed, Demonstrated leadership potential, Self-motivated with a positive attitude, Strong work ethic, High standards of ethics and integrity, Respect for the University and its students, faculty, and staff
