Starting Rate: $21.00 with an increase to $21.50 in 6 months if eligible, PLUS $1.25/hour additional for shift premium
Work Hours: 12 Hour Crew 3 - 3 (36 hours one week and 48 hours the next). Only work ½ the days in a year.
Location: 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, MO 65066
Responsibilities- Drive forklift truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, clamps, or elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move raw paper materials and in‑process products and finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory. May load and unload semi‑trailer trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies.
- Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform safety checks on lifts. Lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace liquefied‑gas tank as needed.
- Recognize whether the forklift truck is able to lift the load and whether the load is properly balanced.
- Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Proven experience in handling controls for driving forklift and/or clamp trucks.
- Skilled in starting, stopping, backing, and driving forklift trucks through narrow aisles, up and down ramps, and in and out of railroad cars, trucks, etc.; and in lifting, lowering, and tilting forks using hands, arms, feet, and legs.
- Know how high, wide, and long the forklift truck and its load are, and how much the forklift truck can lift.
- Good spatial ability to determine doorway and aisle clearances, shelf and bin dimensions, and necessary lift height.
- Knowledge of storage area layout to locate and place items without detailed instructions.
- Skilled in moving forklift trucks in tight spaces.
- Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
