Time CDL - B Delivery Driver

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Springfield, MO. This position requires a Class B CDL with Air Brakes & Haz Mat endorsements and the ability to obtain both endorsements. The driver will load, unload, move, and store gas and liquid cylinders, deliver to customers or other branches, and complete delivery tickets accurately.

• Employer paid CDL license renewal fees including endorsements and medical card
• Out-of-town routes with 3-4 overnight stays per week (hotel provided), home on weekends, and evening meal per diem

• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with all DOT & OSHA regulations
• Move, load, and unload empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensure appropriate preparation, completion, and accuracy of paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL required, with Hazmat and Airbrakes endorsement or ability to obtain both endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Background Assessment, and company-administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
