Position Details

Pay: $22 per hour

Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday with early morning start times. Drivers average upwards of 12‑hour shifts. End times vary.

CDL B with air brakes endorsement required.

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition while building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections according to DOT regulations.
  • Report all safety issues and/or required repairs.
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines, immediately reporting all safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Move tractor to the loading dock and attach trailers as needed.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes and schedules.
  • Unload products and transport them into designated customer storage areas.
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor as needed.
  • Verify delivery and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money when required.
  • Load customer returns onto trailers and secure doors.
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured.
  • Unlabeled damaged goods and returns and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Remove trash and keep trailers clean.
  • Record hours of service and enter logs per Federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear.
  • Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or state‑approved equivalent.
  • Valid CDL B with air brakes endorsement.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements.
  • Minimum age 21 years.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT health card and/or capability to obtain a new one.
  • Ability to hand‑lift and use lift gate or other equipment for freight ranging from 10–35 pounds up to 60–90 pounds.
Compensation

$22.00 per hour
