Description

Ministry Function The Transportation Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing support for all aspects of the transportation office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Serves as the logistics communications point between shipping, procurement, transportation, warehouse, and drivers. Maintains shipment activity boards. Coordinates pickups and deliveries with contractors and Convoy of Hope drivers. Prepares Convoy of Hope driver trip envelope and clipboard for dispatch and expense reporting. Coordinates dock activity at the World Distribution Center. Completes data entry and prepares reporting for all domestic transportation requests.

Serves as administrative support for transportation—coding invoices, preparing reports, updating the wiki, tracking volunteer hours, and more. Completes and files expense reports for transportation team. Assists Transportation Safety/Compliance Manager with management of DOT driver files, including Motor Vehicle Records, annual reviews, and drug and alcohol testing with current provider. Prepares monthly fuel expense reports for all Convoy of Hope vehicles.

Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A bachelor’s degree is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Two or more years of office management experience is preferred. Possesses strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace. Displays strong organizational skills and ability to handle concurrent, multiple job tasks. Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possesses experience working with confidential material.

Demonstrates good judgment. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
