Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy before departure and upon arrival.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and document with photos per company policy.
• Assess job‑site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Load and unload materials up to 100lb, using forklifts or manual methods, and work in varied weather and noisy environments.
• Read and interpret job‑related documents in English.
• Maintain safety compliance through inspections and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations.

• Valid CDL ClassA or B with air‑brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating forklifts (Moffett’s or equivalent) safely.
• 18+ years old (21+ for interstate/hazmat).
• Background check, drug test, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• English language proficiency for reading and communication.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet‑management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA or
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).

Drivers will manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support. Success requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
