A Day In The Life
Operator will drive either a straight truck, or tractor-trailer to haul the required products locally or out of town. Operator will be required to spot trailers for loading and unloading and to perform other truck driving duties as directed by the supervisor.
Will be required to, but not limited to, transport products between shipping departments, transport parts, stocks and other transportable items from one facility to another, make over-the-road runs, load and unload flatbed trucks, stage on dock as needed, keep required records, including shuttle move logs and daily vehicle inspection logs.
Will be required to maintain the trucks by cleaning, checking the oil, general vehicle maintenance and etc.
Will be required to pass the Packing and Shipping Operator’s Test.
Backup drivers will perform warehouse job duties as assigned.
Other duties as required.
Satisfactory completion of the requirements per the Department of Transportation is a prerequisite for this job. This includes a Class A CDL and a current medical certificate card. The operator must possess the required license and medical certificate before commencing work on the job. The company will then make the necessary accommodations for the employee to have the Haz-mat endorsement added to their license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform work for a minimum of eight hours.
- Ability to walk, see, and have full use of both hands.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and from waist to floor.
- Ability to lift 90 lbs. periodically.
These physical requirements are generalities and work may occasionally exceed the specified levels.
