Under supervision, performs general administrative functions in support and development of a variety of county programs, to include, but not limited to Great American Clean-up, Environmental Enforcement Programs, Adopt a Road, Keep Clark County Beautiful, and recycling programs. Assists the Director and Program Manager with fiscal, budget, and operational functions.
Summary of Essential Duties:
- Assists District personnel with implementation of the annual Great American Cleanup, including planning, supply inventory, preparing kits for volunteers, database entry, soliciting volunteers and donations, and general organization.
- Limited local travel is required; mileage is reimbursed.
- May perform a variety of general administrative functions; answers telephone calls and responds to inquiries; assists walk-in customers; maintains mailing lists and organizes mailings; and coordinates off-site meetings and catering.
- Prepares and presents informative programs to individuals and community groups.
- Represents the Solid Waste District at community festivals and events.
- Helps provide technical assistance on recycling for businesses, schools, etc.
- Helps maintain and update program pages on County website and social media platforms.
- Works and communicates cooperatively and courteously with customers, supervisors, and other department personnel to accomplish needed tasks.
- Must have and maintain Ohio Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and personal vehicle insurance of $100,000/$300,000.
- High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree or higher education in bookkeeping or accounting-related environmental education field preferred, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Communication and organizational skills are essential.
