We are looking for a skilled physician to provide exceptional call coverage at a full-service acute care hospital, ensuring high-quality care for patients in Springfield, Ohio. What You Will Do:

• Provide comprehensive general, cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical care during designated shifts.
• Perform complex procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repairs, lung resections, and more.
• Manage ventilation and evaluate acute volumetric and blood pressure issues.
• Collaborate with onsite lab and radiology services utilizing the EPIC documentation system for efficient patient management.

Required Skills:

• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Proven experience in performing a wide range of cardiothoracic and vascular procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current medical license valid in Ohio or eligibility for licensure.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with minimally invasive techniques (VATS).
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
• Prior locum or emergency coverage experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior experience working in high-volume, acute care environments.

Other Requirements:

• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Willingness to work 24-hour shifts on a 7a-7a schedule.
• Reliable transportation and ability to start on the specified dates.

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.50, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
