We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum inpatient opportunity in Springfield, Ohio. This role covers adult cardiothoracic surgical services at a full-service acute care hospital with strong mid-level support.

• Full-service acute care hospital
• Adult patient population (100%)
• Hospital-based practice (100%)
• Physicians in practice: 1
• Mid-level providers: 2
• 250 total beds | 60 ICU beds
• Onsite lab and X-ray
• EPIC EMR

• March: 7:00 AM 03/13/2026 – 7:00 AM 03/23/2026
• April: 7:00 AM 04/03/2026 – 7:00 AM 04/13/2026
• April/May: 7:00 AM 04/27/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/04/2026
• May: 7:00 AM 05/15/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/25/2026

• General CV / Thoracic / Vascular surgeries
• Coronary artery bypass surgery
• Congenital defect repairs
• Valvular repairs and replacements
• Aneurysm repair
• Lung resection (including VATS)
• Chest wall and pleural procedures
• Esophageal and diaphragm surgeries
• Endarterectomy (carotid and renal)
• Ventilation management
• Bronchoscopy
• Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues

• Board Certified – REQUIRED
• Active Ohio medical license – REQUIRED
• BLS & ACLS – REQUIRED
• Clean background – REQUIRED
• COVID vaccine – REQUIRED (noted at time of name clear)
• Must be able to cover listed dates – REQUIRED
• NPDB Self-Query report dated within 30 days – REQUIRED at submission
