• End Date/Duration: Until 09/18/2026, with potential extension through 2027
• Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM;
  Floor call/beeper from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, plus 24-hour weekend onsite support
• Hours/Week: 40+ hours

• Experience: Prior cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide postoperative care for all types of cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Perform emergency surgeries on cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Take and interpret consults/referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers
• Assist in surgeries, including vein harvesting during heart procedures
• Coordinate patient care, including prescribing, rounding, and testing
• Retrieve vascular tissues for bypass procedures and assist with emergency interventions
• Document all care accurately in Epic EMR

What You Need
Required:

• Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA)
• Experience with cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
• Ability to perform vein harvesting and assist in emergent surgeries
• Competency in inpatient hospital settings

Preferred:

• Prior cardiothoracic surgical experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
