JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of non-teaching classroom support and student care services as directed.
SALARY: $17.26-$22.20* - Hourly rate based on experience.
* The classified agreement, including salary table, is in negotiation this summer.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• High school diploma.
• Has or is able to attain a valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for working with students in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
• Responsiveness; follow-up and follow-through with students, families, and faculty members is essential.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
• Meets all mandated health and background screening requirements including FBI/BCI checks.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checks with the teacher for instructions. Works with small groups and/or individual students.
• Helps students with remedial and/or enrichment activities. Reinforces instructional materials introduced by the teacher. Helps maintain a positive learning environment.
• Offers help when students ask or their behavior suggests they need assistance.
• Respects and maintains the confidentiality of student information.
• Maintains high standards and upholds the student conduct code and handbook.
• Enforces and maintains proper classroom rules for discipline and management.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with staff, students, and parents, and form positive relationships with students to promote student success and support.
• Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration.
• Promotes a favorable image of Springfield-Clark CTC school district.
