Job Description:

The School of Arts, Communication, and Cultural Foundations at Wittenberg University seeks adjunct instructors to teach one or more of the following Religion course topics in the fall 2026 semester (in order of preference):
  • Demons, Angels, & Ghosts
  • Old Testament
  • World Religion & Pilgrimage
  • Fake News, Forgeries, & Frauds
  • Judaism, Christianity, & Islam
  • New Testament
  • Christian Tradition (History of Christianity)
  • Racism and Social Ethics
  • Religious Perspectives on Contemporary Moral Issues
The fall 2026 semester begins August 24th and ends by December 11th. Courses can be taught either in-person or online for lectures 2 or 3 times per week, depending on the instructor's schedule. For the Fall 2026 semester, candidates who are able to teach at least one section in-person will be given preference.

Requirements:

A Masters in Religious Studies (or related field) is required. A Ph.D. in Religious Studies or related field is preferred. For questions, please contact Dr. Travis Proctor, Dean, School of Arts, Communication, and Cultural Foundations, proctort.
