Who We Are:

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking Freshman/JV High School Assistant Football coaches (3) for the 2026-27 school year Fall Season. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. The Springfield City School District values the racial, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of our student body, faculty and staff.

Our academic and extracurricular aim is to ensure social and emotional learning growth for students with a wealth of opportunity, including a 1:1 initiative and the You Media Center, which is a digital learning lab offering students activities such as 3-D printing, graphic design, and videography. We are Wildcats!

As a Coach you are required to:

* Completion of Coaches' Tool Chest coursework (Fundamentals of Coaching, CPR, First Aid, Concussion, Lindsay's Law, Mental Health etc)

* Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit as issued by the Ohio Department of Education

As a Coach you will demonstrate the following:

* Being a role model and mentor to student athletes

* Ability to build strong communication links between students, parents and the community

* Action plans to create a disciplined team, both with coaches and student athletes

What We Offer:

As a Freshman/JV High School Assistant Football Coach (3) , the stipend is $4,612.00

All "Requirements for Coach/Advisor" must be met on or before the first practice date and throughout the entire season of sport to be performed.
