Who We Are:

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a High School Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2026‑27 school year. The district is a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre‑K through grade 12 students, in 17 state‑of‑the‑art buildings. We value diversity and provide social and emotional learning opportunities, including a 1:1 initiative and a digital learning lab.

• Complete Coaches' Tool Chest coursework (Fundamentals of Coaching, CPR, First Aid, Concussion, Lindsay's Law, Mental Health, etc.).
• Obtain or maintain a Pupil Activity Permit from the Ohio Department of Education.
• Act as a role model and mentor to student athletes.
• Build strong communication links between students, parents, and the community.
• Create disciplined action plans for the team in collaboration with other coaches and athletes.

• Must possess or have ability to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit from the Ohio Department of Education.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to student development and team discipline.

Stipend of $3,821.00 for the full season. All required documentation must be completed and on file with Human Resources before the first practice date and throughout the season.
