The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Cafeteria Security Aide for Horace Mann Elementary School for the school year. The district serves approximately 7,500 students from pre‑K through grade 12.
Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess an Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education
- Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria
- Assisting with decorations of the cafeteria to reinforce good behavior and eating habits
- Assisting staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat, including picking up litter and wiping tables
- Operating cafeteria tables and assisting in folding and moving tables as needed
- Implementing established behavior modification programs
- Assisting with recordkeeping functions when required
- Participating and supervising during emergency preparedness drills
- Assisting with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Contracted employee, works 2.5 hours per day, 188 days per year
- Monday - Friday 10:35 am – 1:05 pm or as assigned
- Starting salary: $20.19 per hour
