Job Description:

The Student Involvement Intern serves as a key member of the Office of Student Involvement team and assists in creating a vibrant campus community through programming, student organization support, leadership development initiatives, marketing, and office operations. This position provides hands-on experience in higher education, student affairs, event planning, and leadership development while helping students connect with meaningful involvement opportunities.

Event Planning & Execution
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, promotion, and implementation of campus programs, workshops, leadership initiatives, and orientation events.
  • Collaborate with professional staff to learn to create engaging and inclusive campus experiences.
Outreach & Communication
  • Serve as a peer ambassador for the Office of Student Involvement by connecting students with campus resources and involvement opportunities.
  • Promote programs and events through social media platforms, digital communications, flyers, newsletters, and other marketing efforts.
  • Leadership Development & Student Support
  • Serve as a positive role model and resource for the office of student involvement,
  • Assist with leadership development programs, training, and workshops.
  • Identifying opportunities for involvement, leadership, and personal growth.
Office & Administrative Support
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Involvement.
  • Complete administrative tasks, special projects, and other duties assigned.
  • Represent the office professionally at campus events, meetings, and recruitment activities.
Requirements:
  • Currently an enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous involvement in student organizations, leadership programs, campus employment, or volunteer experiences.
  • Experience with event planning, program coordination, or student engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience creating promotional materials using Canva or similar design platforms.
  • Interested in higher education, student affairs, leadership development, event management, or campus programming.
