Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool design and development, as well as experience in project management and process improvement. The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new tooling solutions to improve our manufacturing processes and meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- - Design and develop new tooling solutions to improve manufacturing processes and increase efficiency
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tooling needs and develop solutions that meet customer requirements
- - Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the most effective tooling solutions
- - Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, including budget and timeline management
- - Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D designs of tooling components
- - Oversee the fabrication and testing of new tooling solutions
- - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with existing tooling
- - Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs
- - Ensure all tooling designs meet safety and quality standards
- - Stay current with industry trends and advancements in tooling technology
- - Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on tooling design and development techniques
- - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- - Minimum of 5 years of experience in tooling design and development
- - Strong project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams
- - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Familiarity with quality and safety standards for tooling - - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- - Willingness to travel for project assignments and customer visits
