Community & Economic Development Budget AnalystSummary of Duties:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs accounts payable duties. Performs accounts receivable duties. Performs a variety of budget activities.
Performs a variety of functions related to grant administration; maintains financial records for federal, state and local grants; requests draws, communicates with Auditor’s Office, and prepares pay-in documents; assists Grants Coordinator to produce and submit grant reports, as required.
Maintains software systems.
Assists other department divisions with minutes, processing permits and other duties as assigned.
Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, BS&A, presentation, Internet, and other financial record keeping software (Quick Books or Peachtree).
Communicates with supervisor, directors of various departments, and other County employees as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
Maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures regarding budget development and administration; maintains an awareness of new procedures, trends and advances in the profession; participates in continuing education activities; attends meetings, workshops and seminars as appropriate.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; supplemented by three (3) years of progressively responsible budget or accounting experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain an Ohio driver’s license. Regular and reliable attendance is required. May be required to obtain a Notary Public.
