The Commercial Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing management and quality of the Bank's commercial loan portfolio. This individual works closely with commercial lenders, credit analysts, loan operations, and executive management to ensure the portfolio is well‑managed, accurately monitored, and positioned for continued growth.
Primary Responsibilities- Oversee the ongoing administration of the commercial loan portfolio following loan closing.
- Coordinate and monitor annual relationship reviews to ensure timely completion.
- Track and collect borrower and guarantor financial information, including tax returns, financial statements, rent rolls, and other required reporting.
- Monitor loan covenant compliance and recommend appropriate action when exceptions occur.
- Assist with commercial loan risk rating reviews and portfolio monitoring.
- Coordinate construction loan monitoring, inspections, draw administration, and project status reporting.
- Prepare portfolio reports for executive management, loan committees, and the Board of Directors.
- Partner with lenders to proactively identify and manage emerging credit concerns.
- Assist with management of watch list and criticized credits.
- Support internal and external loan reviews and regulatory examinations.
- Work with lending and credit teams to continuously improve policies, procedures, workflows, and reporting.
- Help maintain the overall quality and integrity of the commercial loan portfolio.
This role is more than maintaining loan files. You'll be a key contributor to the continued growth of our commercial banking division by helping ensure our portfolio remains well‑managed, our credit processes continue to improve, and our customers receive the high level of service they expect from a community bank.

QualificationsPreferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent banking experience.
- Three or more years of experience in commercial banking, commercial credit, portfolio management, underwriting, or loan review.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate and commercial lending.
- Experience analyzing business and personal financial statements.
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation and credit risk management.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Sageworks/Abrigo, Laser Pro, construction lending, or commercial credit administration is a plus.
