Location:

Springfield, OH 45505. Primary Service Center:
Springfield, Ohio (South Limestone Location). FLSA Status:
Non‑Exempt – Hourly position.

Work Hours:

Full‑time.

• Collect payments for services provided to patients.
• Perform coding edits to claims.
• Process EDI files and upload electronic claims to the clearinghouse.
• Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and assist in establishing budget plans.
• Post payments received from insurance and patients.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree a plus.
• Prior dental billing/accounting experience and familiarity with an Electronic Health Record System (EHR) preferred.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel required.
• Patient Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondences, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and employees.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; ratios, percent calculation).
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense and solve concrete problems.
• Computer skills:
  Accounts Receivable software, spreadsheet software, word processing.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care, confidentiality, and quality services in a Federally Qualified Health Center.
• Ability to adapt to change, follow instructions and policies.

• Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Requires vision, hearing, and ability to adjust focus.

• Interactions with patients and general public; moderate noise level.
• Possible exposure to blood or body fluids.
• Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and overtime based on demand.
