- Split coverage between a hospital-based MRI suite and an outpatient imaging center
- Two GE 1.5T closed MRI units across both locations
- Average daily caseload of 22 exams
- Uses GE MRI equipment, Epic EHR, and Change Healthcare (GE) PACS
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM;
Fridays at the outpatient imaging center - Friday overnight call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend call coverage required (Saturday 7:00 AM to Sunday 7:00 PM)
- Local candidates are accepted
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting
- ARRT certification with advanced MRI (MR) registry required
- Current BLS (AHA) required prior to direct patient care
- GE MRI equipment experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EHR and PACS preferred
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Proof of address required for consideration (valid DL, voter registration card, federal tax return, Military Form 2058, or W2)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Performs MRI exams according to established protocols under the direction of a Radiologist
- Responsible for selecting appropriate MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters
- Starts IVs and administers magnetic contrast agents as required by procedure
- Applies MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
- Assists in training new staff and provides oversight of MRI students
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and reports issues to radiology maintenance or supervisor
- Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
- Dysrhythmia exam is not required
