Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist completes assessments and provides skilled therapeutic interventions via outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off‑site settings. Patients are served as part of a continuum of care.
Essential Functions- Evaluates patients, gathers pertinent information, and develops treatment plans with specific goals. Responsible for ongoing assessment and plan revisions.
- Provides direct therapy following the patient’s plan of care and standards of practice. Instructs patients and families on therapeutic procedures.
- Maintains accurate records of treatment, progress, and coordination of services in the electronic medical record.
- Delivers efficient care while maintaining a set level of productivity and exceeding department standards.
- Enforces departmental policies regarding safety, infection control, time‑off requests, and timecard recording, including required education and yearly compliance.
- Supervises physical therapist assistants in treatment interventions and professional growth.

Required Licensing & Certifications- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet all qualifications for traineeship or temporary license in the state of current practice (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for BSMH, at hire for RSFH)
- 2 years of experience in an equivalent setting (preferred)
- Application of age‑specific standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care
- Computer skills: data entry, word processing, email, records management
- Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities, and progress
- Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with co‑workers, physicians, patients, and families
- Ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public, and other health care professionals
