Days, Mon-Fri 8:00-17:00.

Adoration Hospice is seeking a compassionate, grounded, and spiritually-sensitive Chaplain in Troy, OH. Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families during end-of-life care. This role is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, offering a nonjudgmental presence and care that honors the beliefs, values, and cultural backgrounds of those we serve.

• Conduct and ensure timely spiritual assessments for patients and families
• Participate in developing individualized care plans to address spiritual needs
• Provide direct spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers
• Serve as a liaison to community chaplains and spiritual counselors
• Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual services and communications
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning
• Offer education and spiritual care guidance to the care team
• Recruit and support community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and volunteers
• Coordinate and lead memorial or funeral services as requested
• Organize periodic memorials for staff, volunteers, and community partners
• Assist in supervising spiritual care volunteers

• Graduate of an accredited theology or chaplaincy program (BD, MDiv, or equivalent theological degree)
• Experience working with death and dying, hospice experience preferred
• Comfort in an interfaith setting
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order
• Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values
• Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care
• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group
• Ability to network with community clergy and congregations
