Job Title: Activities Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Villa Springfield - Springfield, OH

Position Summary

Villa Springfield is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team full-time. In this role, you will help plan, organize, and implement engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

At Villa Springfield, we take pride in being a stable and positive presence in the Springfield community, supported by a strong, experienced team that works collaboratively to create a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and conducting daily activity programs for residents

  • Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities

  • Support a variety of programs including social, recreational, spiritual, and educational activities

  • Help transport residents to and from activities as needed

  • Maintain activity supplies and ensure a safe, organized environment

  • Document resident participation and engagement

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

  • Support special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings

  • Follow all facility policies and state/federal regulations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare preferred

  • Genuine interest in working with elderly and/or disabled individuals

  • Must be a STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) in the State of Ohio

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for engaging residents

  • Must be dependable and have a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

  • Activity-related certification (or willingness to obtain)
