Buck Creek State Park is about 6 miles from central Springfield and provides boating, fishing, and hiking near C.J. Brown Reservoir. The Westcott House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is located in the city, and downtown Springfield also features the Heritage Center Museum in a walkable historic district.
