Job Description s Essential Function

The Director of Information Technology is a key member of the Silfex leadership team. This is a matrixed role with primary reporting into Lam GIS and strong dotted‑line accountability to Silfex, ensuring alignment to both enterprise standards and site‑specific business priorities. The position will develop, maintain, and execute the strategic technology plan for the company and drive process improvement and streamline business processes with technology, including the company’s Industry 4.0 strategic and operational plans.

The role will develop, justify, and implement the IT and network integration plan between Silfex and parent company Lam Research, manage all activities associated with the information technology systems in support of the company’s business, and oversee the company’s IT team across multiple sites.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Effectively plan, manage, and control IT operations across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the company’s strategic and operational imperatives and develop and deliver an IT strategy and operational plan to support company needs, providing ROI justification for proposed plans.
  • Develop an IT strategic roadmap that communicates and ensures continual alignment between IT, company, and operational planning.
  • Establish key relationships with Lam Research IT executive and support teams to understand their strategies and policies, and make recommendations regarding integration of Silfex IT/Network to leverage capabilities and support.
  • Provide leadership in planning and managing computer operations and production support, systems and database administration, and network operations.
  • Manage day‑to‑day IT operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance, and end‑user satisfaction.
  • Execute technical transformation to reduce cost, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase organizational capacity by modernizing IT platforms, consolidating systems, and enabling scalable, end‑to‑end digital capabilities aligned to Silfex and Lam operating objectives.
  • Provide business rationale and an innovative perspective to all technology problems and innovations.
  • Analyze operational procedures, data needs, and existing information technology, including hardware and software, to determine efficiency, capabilities, and limitations, and propose future needs to support a rapidly scaling business.
  • Direct teams of technical and management staff in the successful fulfillment of IT service delivery commitments.
  • Confere with department managers to analyze current operation procedures, pinpoint problem areas, and determine areas for potential improvement of information services.
  • Foster and manage vendor relationships to fit the size and needs of a growing organization.
  • Understand business goals, drivers, context, and processes to suggest technology solutions that improve the organization.
  • Establish standards for system availability, fault tolerance, and recoverability aligned with business continuity objectives.
