OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Laser Cutting Machine Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure precise fabrication while maintaining safety and efficiency standards across our production processes.
Duties- Develop and input CNC laser cutting programs based on detailed blueprints and technical specifications
- Set up laser cutting machines, including adjusting tooling, fixtures, and parameters for optimal performance
- Operate CNC laser cutters safely and efficiently to produce accurate parts according to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to optimize production workflows
- Proven experience programming CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling setup
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and machining processes
