Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Full‑time, 1st Shift Monday‑Friday with overtime as required, including some weekends. Hourly position with growth potential. Responsible for safely operating and caring for the forklift.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment
• Previous experience operating a sit‑down forklift

• Work at a fast pace delivering stock and removing finished goods from machines.
• Complete and document a forklift inspection form at the start of each shift; notify supervisor if repairs are needed.
• Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
• Complete all necessary reporting accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate location of stock using computer‑based inventory system.
• Adhere to daily production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and follow factory instructions.
• Mathematical skills: read tape measure, calculate percentages, measurements, volume, rate, apply high school math concepts.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to written, oral or graphic instructions; solve problems with standardized situations.
• Technical knowledge: equipment design and capabilities, product layouts, production specifications, quality specifications and standards.
• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

• Stand, walk, talk or hear for the duration of shift.
• Use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions.
• Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, vibration.
• Noise level usually loud.
