Assistant Operator - 3rd Shift

ASSISTANT OPERATOR

$17.84/hr., Full-time, Monday thru Friday with overtime required when necessary, including some weekends.

Hourly position with growth potential! You will be responsible for all activities associated with assisting to operate production machines. This includes setup, operation, clean‑up, quality checks and recommending improvements to operations.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a state‑of‑the‑art, fast‑paced environment
• 6 consecutive months experience in some type of manufacturing operation, preferred.

• Assist the operation of the machinery at maximum capacity and speed; work diligently to improve set‑up times and downtime daily; identify and address mechanical concerns and report to supervisor.
• Work at a fast‑pace set by the machine operator to adhere to production schedule.
• Continue to learn operation of the machine, downtime, set‑up times and quality of product.
• Assist with completing necessary reports accurately and timely.
• Assist in the set‑up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately.
• Monitor board quality for defects and make adjustments when necessary.
• Willingness to move up the line of progression and cross‑train on other machines.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintain good housekeeping.

Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate; apply concepts of high school math.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form; deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
• Knowledge of product layouts and production specifications.
• Knowledge of product quality specifications.

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional sit. Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus.

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; occasional exposure to high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibration. Noise level usually loud.
