General Description / Primary Purpose

We are hiring Packaging Leads for 2nd shift to support our operations. In this role, you will oversee floor operations, coordinate tasks, follow and enforce all policies and procedures. Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Coordinate the activities of co‑workers to meet production needs.
  • Report any problems pertaining to safety, food safety and quality to supervisor.
  • Prepare run sequences.
  • Assign employees by line and task.
  • Coordinate relief for breaks, lunch and shift switchover.
  • Communicate with shift supervisors regarding daily events.
  • Perform all department job functions as necessary.
  • Work around equipment and machinery.
  • Employ extensive problem‑solving skills.
  • Perform and verify PMO’s quality checks.
  • Plan and execute product changeovers.
  • Complete data entry for changeovers and rework area.
  • Scan MP bins to line with scanner in Scale Mezzanine and rework.
  • Complete paperwork duties.
  • Manage Scale Mezzanine, rework and box room.
  • Adhere to all policies, practices and SOPs related to producing safe quality food (SQF).
  • Ensure integrity and continued operation of the food‑safety system during organizational or personnel changes.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Specific Competencies
  • Read and work in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in cold temperatures (32‑35°F).
  • Follow PPE protocol (hairnet, hardhat, gloves, smock/safety vest).
  • No jewelry permitted on production floors.
  • Stand, walk, climb and work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods.
  • Maneuver around equipment in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Hours & Travel Requirements
  • 5‑day / 10‑hour work schedule.
  • Saturdays may be scheduled as a 12‑hour shift based on production needs.
Shift Details
  • 2nd Shift – $21.29/hour. 4:15 PM until production is finished.
Experience and Education
  • High school diploma required.
