Punch Press Operator
Location: Morristown, TN
Pay: $16.00/hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: Monday-Thursday | 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience operating punch presses, stamping presses, or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Experience using production tracking or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and accurately document production information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Operate automatic, transfer, and robotic stamping press equipment.
- Set up production jobs using production schedules and setup instructions.
- Follow packaging and production specifications.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet manufacturing standards.
- Enter production, downtime, scrap, and inventory information into the production system.
- Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical or tooling concerns.
- Communicate production issues with supervisors and the quality team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
