Paint Prep Technician

Position Overview:

As a Paint Prep Technician, you will prepare truck bodies and equipment for final painting. This role involves sanding, minor body work, and using various tools to ensure a high-quality finish. Training will be provided.

Primary Duties:

• Prepare truck bodies, equipment, and accessories for painting.
• Operate necessary equipment and tools for job tasks.
• Grind welds and smooth surfaces as needed.
• Apply caulking to prepare exterior areas for painting.
• Execute taping and masking for body work and painting.
• Complete required paperwork for paint department operations.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

• Detail-oriented with a focus on perfection.
• Familiarity with paint equipment is a plus.
• Experience in a body shop is advantageous.
• Proficient in using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and utilize a tape measure accurately.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Capacity to follow and apply instructions effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
