Position OverviewThe Dialysis Nurse supervises dialysis care in accordance with policy, procedure, and training while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role includes unit leadership, direct patient care, and collaborative teamwork with the hemodialysis healthcare team.
What Will You Do?- Patient Care &
Education:
Provide direct hemodialysis care, perform assessments, administer medications, and educate patients on renal health and self‑care. - Team Leadership & Supervision: Delegate tasks to technicians, supervise performance, and enforce compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
- Treatment Monitoring & Adjustment: Monitor patient response to dialysis, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document interventions and outcomes accurately.
- Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare team members, report critical lab results, and ensure continuity of treatment.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic medical records, complete care plans promptly, and adhere to safety and regulatory protocols.

- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current state‑appropriate or Compact RN license
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in any practice area
- Minimum of three months of dialysis experience
- BLS certification
Successful completion of the Ishihara Color Blindness Test is required. The role involves prolonged walking, standing, stooping, bending, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Strong focus and attention to detail are essential. The work environment includes temperature control, moderate noise levels, and potential exposure to infectious materials.
Compensation$38 – $50 per hour, depending on experience, location, urgency, and other factors.
